Buenos Aires, Feb. 4 (EFE) .- The River Plate coach, Marcelo Gallardo, abandoned the practice of the team on Tuesday and was admitted to a Buenos Aires clinic for a kidney stone.
“I arrived and he was gone, he had already left. They had taken him to the clinic. Let him recover that we are waiting for him to continue winning and caught up there,” goalkeeper Franco Armani told a news conference after the afternoon training.
“We want to wish him a speedy recovery and that he be with us as soon as possible,” he added.
River reported on his website that the 44-year-old coach “will spend the night under observation” for “a kidney stone.”
