The event was attended by the chairman of the technical and judicial committee of the Paralympic Taekwondo of the World Taekwondo Federation, the chairman of the board of judges of the European Union Taekwondo Shakir Chelbat, the chairman of the panel of judges of the Taekwondo Union of Russia, member of the panel of judges of the World Taekwondo Federation Andrei Khegay, First Deputy Minister of Sports of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Regional Center for Sports Training in Adaptive Sports Nadezhda Bannikova, as well as representatives of Krasnoyarsk regional Taekwondo Federation and the Directorate of sports and social events and projects.
Before the working meeting, the representatives of the federations visited the sports facilities of the Winter Universiade-2019, including the multifunctional sports complex Arena. North and the Sports Palace named after Ivan Yarygin.
“The facilities that we visited today are ideal for holding international competitions in adaptive sports,” said Andrey Khegay. – We were impressed with the quality of training, infrastructure and equipment of these sports complexes, and the availability of special equipment makes them even more attractive for spectators with disabilities.
During a site visit, guests also discussed the features of the competition for people with a musculoskeletal system, including the organization of volunteers, medical care and safety. In addition, representatives of the federations noted that they consider Krasnoyarsk as the main contender for the European Taekwondo Championship for people with a musculoskeletal system lesion, and, in the future, world and European championships and championships.
