After being announced at AC Milan, Jean-Clair Todibo finally took over as head of Germany and Gelsenkirchen. FC Barcelona and Schalke's club have managed to agree on a loan until the end of the season, in the amount of € 1.5M.
The German side will also pay the French defender's salary, and will also have a purchase option at its disposal. This can be raised for a sum of 25M € (plus 5M € bonus). And if in the future, Schalke would like to resell the player, Barça would have priority to recover it. It will "just" pay 50M €, plus 10M € in variables.
As a reminder, Todibo joined Barcelona last summer. He signed up for free because he was at the end of his contract with the TFC. Given the competition in Camp Nou, he couldn't stand out much. In total, he only appeared three times (two as regulars) for 167 minutes played in six months.
